Barrett & Stokely Asset Management, is a joint venture between Barrett & Stokely, Inc. and Cornerstone Companies, Inc. In 1985 this collaboration combined the management capabilities of Barrett & Stokely with the leasing and development experience of Cornerstone Companies. We have provided management and leasing expertise for over 3,500,000 square feet of retail, general office and medical facilities throughout Indiana and the Midwest.

Barrett & Stokely Asset Management’s approach to full-service asset management underlies our commitment to long-term client relationships. We believe that excellence can only be achieved when asset performance and risk management are combined with servicing owners at the highest possible level. It goes far beyond just the day-to-day managing of buildings, though this is an integral part of our job. Our goal is to add value by offering an on-going risk-controlled evaluation of every specific asset’s performance combined with providing owners and their building with exceptional management services.

Where we differ from other management companies is that we have years of experience working with not just tenants of our buildings, but the owners as well. It is because of this experience that we have adopted a philosophy of managing properties from the owner’s perspective; that is, to manage as if we are the owner. We have a unique team of individuals assembled that allow owners to call on the expertise of two companies (Cornerstone Companies, Inc. and Barrett & Stokely, Inc.) to maximize their financial returns.

Our growth in asset management has been built upon referrals and reputation rather than advertising. The history of Cornerstone Companies and Barrett & Stokely is an unbroken series of successful projects, which is very unique in the real estate market. As a result of our good reputation for credit, development and asset management, our project portfolio has continued to grow rapidly. However, there will always be a “small company” feel to our asset management team. As problems, issues or questions arise, owners have one point of contact. One of our goals is to make all owners feel like they are our only client. We are dedicated to working closely with each owner towards the maximization of the value of the real estate asset.
